Marketing Strategies for Rural Consumers
Abstract
Marketing strategy provides the roadmap to achieve the marketing strategies and it is a comprehensive plan to attain the organization objectives. Marketing strategies help to use maximum scarce resources to attain the objectives and increase the sales of the organization. It is designed by focusing on the target market and target consumers. It also focus the marketing mix. Rural market strategies are not the same as urban marketing strategies. In Indian above 83 crores people are living in rural area and to beat the cutthroat competition and survive in the market, an organization has to target the rural consumer as well as urban consumers. Rural markets are not much explored and having many potentials. In India, there are more than 570000 villages, and approx. 65% of the income in rural areas comes from the agricultural sector. The objectives of this research are to study the current situation of the rural market in India.
